Early Life & Musical Beginnings
Brock Perry hails from Coventry and began his journey with the guitar at an impressively young age. He played his first paid gig at just 12 years old, setting the stage for a lifetime of music. In the vibrant 1980s, Brock carved out his reputation within the Oxford indie music community, performing with several local bands and sharpening his skills on stages across the scene. With his original band In Athens, he took his music across the Atlantic, touring and recording in the USA, an experience that fundamentally shaped his artistic identity.
Career Highlights & Musical Adventures
In the 1990s, Brock’s musical path led him to Ireland where he joined Joe O’Donnell’s Shkayla, a Celtic Prog Rock group that blended rock energy with traditional folk influences. Throughout the 2000s, Brock continued expanding his reach, playing lead guitar in touring acts such as Norway’s The Truth Monkeys and Coventry favourites Bait, captivating audiences worldwide. Brock’s versatility took him to shared stages with iconic performers including The Gibson Brothers and disco favourites Boney M, spanning venues from Europe to the Middle East.
Influence & Current Role
For Brock, his guitar is an extension of his own voice, and although he has played many instruments throughout his career, he ultimately found his signature sound with his beloved Gibson Les Paul Standard in Tobacco Sunburst. A lifelong admirer of Fleetwood Mac, his inspiration traces back to the band’s original 1968 LP, with the iconic Rumours album shaping much of his rock-pop guitar style. Today, Brock brings this rich musical influence and decades of experience to the stage as the lead guitarist of Fleetwood Mad, delivering authentic, powerful performances that help bring the timeless Fleetwood Mac sound to life.
